Lubricants based on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) are used to reduce friction under high loads, in aggressive environments, or with temperature fluctuations. PTFE lubricant does not oxidize, retains its properties when in contact with water, acids, or solvents, and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction among lubricating substances.
These Teflon lubricants are used in mechanical engineering, electromechanics, food, chemical, and textile industries—especially where the lubricant must not leave residue, attract dust, or create a sticky film.
Applications of PTFE Lubricants
Teflon lubricant is effective in friction units operating dry, at high frequency, in aggressive environments, or where relubrication is not possible. Typical examples of use:
- sliding guides, locks, stops, door limiters
- drives and transmission mechanisms in packaging and food equipment
- ignition coil mechanisms, electrical contact assemblies
- lubrication of sealing surfaces, threaded elements, molds, and guides
PTFE-based lubricants operate in a temperature range from –40 °C to +250 °C, withstand high loads, and minimize wear of contact surfaces.
PTFE-Based Technical Solutions
- Amberglide
Concentrated Teflon lubricant for general industrial use. Creates a dry film that prevents dust and dirt from sticking. Suitable for open assemblies and surfaces where a greasy layer is not allowed.
- Dry Film Anti-Stick
PTFE lubricant with a high content of polytetrafluoroethylene. Forms a dry coating with anti-friction properties. Works in vacuum, aggressive environments, and precision mechanisms. Suitable for injection molding, molds, shafts, and guides.
- Dry PTFE Lube FG
Food-grade PTFE oil (FG). Can be used in the production of food equipment, packaging machines, and guides in products with cleanliness requirements. Does not alter taste or leave residue. Certified.
