Non-silicone release agents are used in manufacturing processes where further processing of the part is required after molding: bonding, painting, metallization, or coating. They leave no residue, do not interfere with adhesion, and do not affect the surface energy of the material. Such release agents are used in both thermoplastic and thermoset systems.
The main purpose is to create a temporary anti-adhesion layer between the mold surface and the material, without using silicone-based components. Compared to silicone agents, non-silicone release agents are better suited for subsequent technological operations.
Applications of Non-Silicone Release Agents
Technical Features
- Compatible with polyurethane, epoxy, polyester, and thermoset systems
- Do not leave a silicone layer
- Easily washed off (or do not require washing in case of semi-permanent use)
- Do not affect painting or bonding of products
- Recommended for casting parts with subsequent finishing, assembly, or bonding on production lines
Industrial Release Agents: Series and Applications
- Formula 14 — universal non-silicone agent for mold release. Suitable for most thermoplastic materials. Applied in a thin layer, fast evaporation.
- Formula 11, Formula 5 — release agents for medium loads in technical polymer molding. Optimal for serial molding with subsequent part processing.
- Formula 10, Formula 4 — highly effective release agents for thermoset plastics. Ensure clean release without residue, preserve geometry and surface cleanliness.
- Formula 7 — strong non-silicone release agent for aggressive or high-temperature materials. Provides stable anti-adhesion effect without buildup on the mold.
- Formula 12 — semi-permanent release agent that does not require frequent recoating. Used on automated lines where stability and repeatability are important.
Release Agents for Polyurethanes
- PUR 101, PUR 300 — specialized release agents for silicone and integral polyurethane foam. Ensure clean release, leave no residue, resistant to melts with high isocyanate content.
- MPR 100 — high-temperature release agent for semi-rigid polyurethanes. Resistant to cyclic thermal loads, operates above 180 °C. Silicone-free, does not affect the polymer matrix structure.
Food-Grade and Universal Formulas
- Non-Silicone Release FG — non-silicone release agent compatible with food industry requirements. Used for thermoforming and pressing in packaging and food equipment manufacturing.
- COM 300 — wax-based release agent suitable for low-adhesion molds. Universal, can be used in injection molding, vacuum forming, and composite manufacturing.
