Fluoroplastic (Teflon) is an excellent antifriction material, with the coefficient of sliding the lowest of the known available construction materials. Due to low adhesion, non-wetting and heat resistance, Teflon in the form of a coating is widely used for the manufacture of conveyor belts in the dairy, canning, fish processing and baking industries; extrusion molds and forms for baking, pans, pots and kettles.
